News and Upcoming Events

Spring is arriving and we are happy to inform you that we have received ice time from the City of Burlington and are currently planning the 2012-2013 Small Fry Skating Season.

With the introduction of full day JK/SK Kindergarten, Small Fry Skating is looking at some changes to help the program survive the transition

Our first exciting news is that we have secured ice time at Appleby Ice Centre…..Small Fry is moving!   Our second piece of news is that Small Fry Skating will hopefully be launching a new early evening program (starting at around 4.30pm) which will be for children 3-6 years old.

With the transformation of the program and the change in location the skating season is going to approach quickly and we REALLY need your help in order to make it a success  by filling available positions on our Executive to help us move ahead.

If you are interested in joining our team as an Executive or On-Ice Leader, please join us at our meeting on Monday May 7 @ 7pm at a location to be determined once we know numbers attending.  Please RSVP via our contact form on this website or by e-mailing us at smallfryskating@gmail.com or if you can not attend and are interested in an executive or on-ice position.

The main purpose of the meeting is to secure Executive Members and make some vital decisions about our program

The following is a list of Executive positions.

President/Vice-President – oversee individual program, delegate as required, communicate with executive, co-ordinate the staffing of the information table, confirm permits with City of Burlington

Treasurer – one Treasurer for entire program, accepts registrations, cashes and writes cheques, maintains budget, insurance (position is filled by Sonia Windsor)

Events – plan and execute Christmas Party, Photo/Trophy Day, cookie purchase and co-ordination and Year End Show (formerly Carnival), solicit donations (Christmas Party, Hockey Jersey Sponsor),

On-Ice Leaders

If there is a specific position you would like, please respond to this e-mail so that we know before our meeting on May 7.

We look forward to another great skating year!
